Get acquainted with the Mileur's, and have supper in
their beautiful log home. All day trips include hot drinks and lunch. After a full day of snowmobiling, return back to the warmth of the
Mileur's household for a hearty Alaskan supper including wholesome foods like
wild game, salmon and more.
The trips offered are only a few of the places to go on a snowmobile in
Alaska. Alaska is a vast land with a large variety of topography to be seen,
from mountains, forested rolling hills, lakes, and glaciers with many differing
species of wildlife to be seen. So let your imagination run wild. If you can
think of something special you would like to do, we will try everything possible
to accommodate your desires.
Iditarod Trail
-
This adventure can be a one or two day trail ride on the
famous Iditarod Trail. You will have an opportunity to see and meet the dog
mushers during the race. This trail consists of rolling hills of spruce and
birch forests, lakes, rivers and great vistas of Mt. McKinley, the tallest
mountain in North America.
-
Eklutna
Glacier
- This trail takes you into the heart of the awesome Chugach Mountains. You
will cross the beautiful Eklutna Lake and see the massive Eklutna Glacier.
This trip is approximately one hour from downtown Anchorage to the starting
point, and is a day trip only. Keep an eye out for dall sheep and moose.
Knik Glacier
- This trail traverses up the vast glacier river valley that was formed
thousands of years ago by the glacier. You can drive your snowmobile right up
to the glacier and even climb on it. Here also live dall sheep, moose, goat
and wolf. This trip also is approximately one hour from Anchorage to the
starting point, and is a day trip only.
Denali
Foothills
- These trails pass through the old gold mining country of
Petersville. From there you break out into big open country above timberline.
This provides for great views of the Alaska Range and of course, Mt. McKinley
or "Denali" (the Great One, as the natives called it). This trip is a must for
folks wanting to see Denali up close and personal. The starting point is
approximately 2* hours from Anchorage, and this is a long one day trip.
Iditarod Trail / Trapline Trail
- This is an extensive custom trip for the more adventurous. This trip
follows the famous Iditarod Trail and then connects with my trapline trail. An
approximate distance of 260 miles round trip, and takes approximately 7-10
days.
At the end of the trail is my very comfortable log cabin. Once at my cabin,
trapping and just enjoying the outdoors will be on our agenda. My cabin is
surrounded by 5000-6000 foot mountains, a very beautiful place.
This is a very special trip. Many varying kinds of topography will be
passed through and many varieties of wildlife can be viewed, a great
opportunity to see wolves.
Come join us for an exciting and
memorable tour through Alaska's wilderness. A unique trip that few choose to
take but one that you will remember for the rest of your life.
